What is GSTIN?

Every taxpayer who is registered under GST gets a GST registration number.

GST registration number is unique for every user. This registration number is also called GSTIN.

Full form of GSTIN is goods and services tax identification number.

This is used as a proof at various places. You need to present this GSTIN while opening a new business account.

It is also helpful in dealing with the MNC’s. You can also provide tax invoices to your customers after mentioning your GSTIN.

With help of your GST identification number you will be able to get ITC benefits.

Input tax is credited into your cash ledger by using your goods and services tax identification number.

GSTIN consists of 15 digits.

Documents Required for Sole Proprietorship GST Registration

  1. PAN Card
  2. Adhaar Card
  3. Mobile Number
  4. Email ID
  5. Bank Account Number

Documents Required for Partnership GST Registration

  1. PAN Card of All Partners
  2. Partnership Deed Copy
  3. Photograph of All Partners (max 100 kb size)
  4. Address Proof of Partners (Passport/ License/ Voter Card/ Adhaar etc)
  5. Adhaar Card of Authorised Signatory of the Firm
  6. Proof of Appointment of Authorised Signatory
  7. Bank Account Details
  8. Rent Agreement of Registered office
  9. NOC from owner of the office
  10. Ownership Proof of the office from Owner (like Electricity bill etc)

  2. Certificate of Incorporation by MCA
  3. Memorandum of Association
  4. PAN Card and Adhaar Card of Authorised Signatory
  5. PAN Card and Address Proofs of All Directors of the Company

  7. Proof of Appointment of Authorised Signatory
